Day 3

Aspiring Change Life Coach - Day 3I had a bit of a blue day yesterday. It matched the colour of my toes and nose from the arctic wind we experienced. My mood plummeted with the barometer and all things 'me' suffered.

I went into a meeting very unsettled and came away feeling as though I had been half present - not a good situation when learning about Twitter and tweets and stats and... I apologised to my long-suffering friend who promptly stated how pleased she was by the amount we had covered. Nice of her to think so but imagine the difference a sunny day could've made!  Not clever to be a personality so influenced by the weather and living in England.

Not all the blue was weather induced.

I am wondering whether the cold I woke up with was coincedence or consequence of the yoga I've been doing this week? If you know of the wonders of yoga, I'd love for you to let me know what I might experience through doing 21 straight days of yoga. Does the body detox? Should my muscles eventually not ache?! Or is that a sign of poor technique?

It may be wiser though to look at the dribbling, grizzly 16 month old in the house. She has a teething cold. Makes sense mummy has a cold too.

I was saved from general melt-down in the end by my lovely and understanding husband who promptly saw his night of peaceful football watching in jeopardy and took me and my immediate stressors in hand. Phew! All it took was some perspective and some help.

Note to self: I am not super woman. I do not need to do everything, all the time, all at once - perfectly.

The day did end peacefully with yoga at 10:30pm. Not a great time for me to be lying on a mat, concentrating on breathing. I do not particularly want to wake in the morning, shivering on the spare bedroom floor. But that is what the challenge process is all about - if something doesn't work one day, work out what to do differently the next day. Today I made time for my yoga while the little one slept. I ignored other jobs that were waiting and chose the breathing. In and out. In and out. In and out.

Today was a better day. The sun was shining.
