After watching Gok Wan's 'How to Look Good Naked' the other night, going to 'Dirty Dancing' the musical and then participating in the #thenwcalendar naked charity calendar shoot, I have decided that what the world needs is One Good Thing.
So what is One Good Thing (#onegoodthing)?
Just as Gok's mission as part of his programme is to bring body confidence to the national curriculum for a compulsory one hour per week, my mission is to have us acknowledge One Good Thing about ourselves as often as we can.
The power of thinking well of ourselves cannot be disputed. By changing how we view ourselves, we change how we view the world and also how the world views us. If we think we are gorgeous and luscious and are able to accept those parts of us we may not love but which make us unique and special and wonderful, then we start to live in a unique and special and wonderful world.
You know the people who just exude confidence and energy- well, it's now the time to stop envying them and to become one of them. They don't give time and energy to putting themselves down. They don't put themselves in a corner!
The #thenwcalendar created a whole room full of luscious ladies and the postivity and confidence that was unleashed was justification enough for me to share my mission! I won't be posting my One Good Thing everyday but as often as I can, and I would love for you to do the same- I'll start:
One Good Thing- finding the positive, most days! #onegoodthing
