What do the contents of your handbag reveal about you?
Some believe that the entirety of your personality can be summed up from the contents of your handbag; others make a living from analysing this minutia of life, to provide an insight into patterns of behaviour, lifestyle and purchasing trends. So, if we tipped your handbag out- what would we find?
If, for example, you have a bag that my sister lovingly refers to as 'the mother-ship', then chances are you will discover:
tissues
keys: for unknown doors and vehicles
toys: one-armed action men; puzzle pieces; a squeaky something that doesn't squeak anymore
hair ties
food: some used and re-wrapped sweets; snacks; dried apple core
diary: empty of notes,addresses, appointments; for 2009
scraps of paper: shopping list; phone number without name; outdated school permission slip
random items of clothing and/or nappies
bits of fluff
wallet/purse: empty of notes and coins; stuffed full of outdated coupons and receipts
mobile phone: either low on battery or out of credit
scissors, elastic bands, sticking plasters, toothpicks, sugar sachets...
