What is happening in the world of coaching?
Loads as usual but here are a few snippets from ICF UK and the Association for Coaching and a gem example of following your dreams...
Information
The recent meeting of the European chapter of the ICF in Latvia came out with the key areas of focus being:
- raising the profile of the ICF in Europe and how this can be done
- organisation of the 2011 European Coaching conference in Madrid in June
ICF credentialing continues for Autumn with Ethics as a main topic of forums.
The Coaching at Work survey on poor practice threw up some interesting debates on the definitions of 'unacceptable', 'therapy' and 'inappropriate'!
Perhaps more work needed here before anything of professional value can be decided regarding ethics and practice.
