I had the pleasure of experiencing the perfect mummy moment in the weekend. You wouldn't often find yourself crediting Strictly Come Dancing with such an honour but on Saturday, I did!
Let me set the scene:
Cold, winter night outside. Lovely warm fire inside. Freshly bathed baby in cute pj's, smelling of all things good in the world. Husband in kitchen preparing the evening meal (that in itself would have me blissed out but there was more to come...)
On come the dancers on the t.v, hopping and twirling to the Charleston. Lo took one look and was off, dancing away, watching the moves, even making up a few herself. Watching and laughing from the side wasn't to be acceptable for mummy; she suddenly grabbed my hand and we were transported to the 1920's, feeling that ragtime rhythm!
When the dance was over she didn't want them to stop and to be honest, neither did I. Thank you SCD.
A Perfect Mummy Moment.
Do you have moments like these to share? Would love to hear all about them.
