Here come the girls

In my coaching recently, women are realising that things can be different, that their voices are strong and deserve to be heard, that they can be successful and happy. There is no status quo anymore as women are realising now is their time.

And everywhere I turn these days, it is all about woman. From the universal shift of the planets towards the Era of Woman*, to recent award-winning film producers, to the lovely ladies gathered in a friend’s kitchen- there is a feeling of empowerment; a feeling of change and evolution; a feeling of developing potential and strength; of complete collaboration and support.

While in the past we have borrowed from the male characteristics in order to make ourselves seen and heard in a male dominated world, it has come that we are realising that the feminine characteristics that have historically marginalised us and were seen as ‘touchy-feely’ are attributes sought after in an ever-developing and complex world. The characteristics of empathy and emotional and relational intelligence are vital for the future and women have that by the barrel!

I have been witnessing this growing revolution, and whether we are aware of it or not, it is happening and it is fantastic to see and be a part of.  It feels more of an evolution, than a revolution- a natural organic change that is meant to be. It feels right and good and incredibly powerful.

Women who are coming out from behind their insecurities and finding their voices are making change happen for themselves and for others. There are so many stories out there of women who are doing just that and I hope to share them in this space in coming months. Their stories are the stories of our future, of new leadership, new decision-making, and a new reality.

Please feel free to share them here too.

‘If ever the world sees a time when women shall come together purely for the good of humanity, it will be a power such as the world has never seen.’
Matthew Arnold
