Change is happening. Nothing new there; I am in the business of change and I love seeing it evolve and transpire in others. But what I love a lot about life is that I have just as much to learn as my clients.
In the distant past I have had a very quiet public voice. And an even quieter public opinion. So it is no surprise to me that I have been a reluctant participant in the social media revolution. Being an active part of it means my voice is out there and my opinion is out there and that's been scary for me.
But now it's all happening in a multitude of ways, with my voice reaching many (hopefully) people. I have to remind myself to keep breathing. I am thankful to those who are with me on this journey who are leading me gently down this path and whose hands I am holding ever so tightly!
My social media and web guru's are presenting me with the information I need, in a way I understand. They now know I need to see it or read it to have a better understanding. They are empowering, rather than overpowering.
I am getting there at my own pace, being comfortable with each new phase as it happens. Change is like that- if you let it grow on you, before you know it, you don't even recognise it as something new. It's there and you've moved on to the next thing.
I thought getting my website was HUGE. Blogging then became the next HUGE step. I am warming to the theme so I have Twitter and a Facebook fan page in my sights- not so huge as I'm getting used to all this now. See how it works?
I do wonder though what is going to be my next HUGE thing. So exciting!
