Why Aspiring Change?
A bit like the coaching process itself, 'Aspiring Change' came from lots of different places but all places that were personally relevant and important.
The 'Change' bit was easy but to get 'Aspiring' I canvassed friends for words that sprang to mind when they thought of coaching and the process of personal change; I brainstormed with lots of pages of phrases and word combinations; I thought about what I felt was the essence of me that would make my coaching unique and valuable.
Eventually, I changed 'aspire' - to have great ambition* - to a verb, to represent the core aspect of the coaching process: taking action. That then created perfect synchronicity with largely, the essence of me: my New Zealand heritage. A mountain in the southern regions of the country is called Mount Aspiring. What better symbol for the journey we take in making change, than that of scaling a mountain?
Welcome, to Aspiring Change!
